"There we shall rest and see, we shall see and love, we shall love and praise. Behold what will be at the end without end. For what other end do we have, if not to reach the kingdom which has no end?" - St. Augustine, (De civ. Dei 22,30,5:PL 41,804) "The beatitude of eternal life is a gratuitous gift of God. It is supernatural, as is the grace that leads us there." (CCC par. 1727)

I'm so awesome
Not to toot my own horn or anything but I'm awesome. We ran away from the housework today to enjoy a few hours at the park. Ostensibly, it was to realease a large turtle we had found about two weeks ago. Really though, as Brother Cadfael would say, we would be kicking God's teeth to not enjoy his good gift of this beautiful day.
So we released the big turtle. (I'll post some pictures if I can figure out how to do it from this phone...BLAH!)
and then, since I'm so awesome. I found my children another turtle.
Then I had to catch it.
So I braved leech infested waters to make a lasting memory for us all. (Actually, I didn't get any leechs on me. Which was good for Devin, because I told him that he would be pulling them off me.)
And then, after catching the tiniest turtle I have ever seen, I spent about 10 minutes catching or attempting to catch a crayfish. I got one in the end.
Not to be outdone, all the children (except Sebastian) had to get in the creek. Donna and Josua are drenched. They say they slipped.
So now, I'm trying to round them up to go home and start fixing dinner. Right after I catch a snake.
I'm awesome.
